Terms and Conditions.
Last updated: August 8, 2026. The version of these terms in effect at the time of your booking is the version that applies.
By booking a session with Nomadic Studio Co., you agree to the terms below. These exist to keep the studio cared for, the schedule respected, and every photographer's day running smoothly.
Payment & Cancellation
All bookings are paid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable.
More than 48 hours before your session: You may reschedule to another available date at no charge. One complimentary reschedule per booking, to a date within 60 days of your original session.
Less than 48 hours before your session: The booking is forfeited and cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
To reschedule, contact us as early as possible at info@nomadicstudioco.ca.
Timing, Extensions & Overages
Your booked session includes your setup, shooting, and teardown, and ends at your scheduled time. We leave a short window between bookings to reset the studio for the next session.
Need more time? Text 306-251-0678 before or during your booking. If the schedule allows, we can extend at the standard hourly rate of $55/hour.
Running past your scheduled end time without prior approval is billed at $75/hour in 15-minute increments ($18.75 per block) to respect back-to-back bookings.
Backdrops & Seamless Paper
Three premium seamless paper backdrops are included with every session. Current colours are listed on the booking page.
Vertical use: Free. Roll the paper down vertically for your shot at no charge as long as the paper isn't pulled onto the floor.
Floor sweeps: $5 per foot if you'd like to pull the paper onto the floor to stand on. We'll trim and dispose of the used section after your session so the next photographer gets a clean roll.
Total loss: Please treat the paper with care. If a roll is rendered entirely unusable (punctures to the core, liquid spills, deep stains), a $200 Full Roll Replacement Fee applies to the card used for your booking.
Studio Use
The studio is available for photography, videography, content creation, and small creative gatherings. The space is not available for parties, events, or any use that hasn't been approved in advance. If you have a project that doesn't fit a standard session, reach out before booking.
What's Not Permitted
To protect the space and the other tenants in the building, the following are not permitted in the studio:
Open flame or candles
Smoke or fog machines
Glitter, confetti, or loose particulate
Aerosol sprays
Smoking, vaping, and cannabis use are not permitted anywhere in the studio or building. Smoke residue requires professional cleaning and will be charged accordingly.
Pets are not permitted. Service animals are welcome with advance notice.
Minors
If your session includes anyone under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present in the studio for the duration of the booking.
Capacity
Maximum studio occupancy is 8 people per booking, including yourself, your subject(s), and any crew. Bookings exceeding this capacity may be cancelled at our discretion, and the booking fee is forfeited.
Security & Privacy
Visible security cameras in the main studio area record video for the protection of the space and equipment. No cameras are in the change room or any private area. Footage is stored securely, reviewed only when needed, and never shared publicly. By booking, you acknowledge this disclosure.
Studio Care
Please leave the studio in the condition you found it:
Return all furniture and equipment to their original positions
Do not drag furniture across the floors
Do not stand on furniture. Use the posing boxes, which are built for it
No nails, pins, or adhesives on walls, command strips only
Remove outdoor shoes before entering the studio
Take garbage with you (recycling can be left in the bin)
Turn off all lights and ensure the door is secured when you leave
Keep noise at a respectful level for other tenants in the building
Cleaning
A $75 cleaning fee applies if the studio requires cleaning beyond normal use (excessive mess, spills, makeup or product residue on floors, walls, or furniture). This fee is charged to the card used for your booking.
If something is spilled on the couch or any upholstered furniture, please let us know and don't attempt to clean it yourself. Home cleaning products often set the stain permanently. We'll arrange professional cleaning and invoice you for the cost.
Damages
You are responsible for any damage to the studio space, equipment, furniture, flooring, walls, or lighting incurred during your session. You agree to cover the cost of repair or replacement at full value.
By booking, you authorize Nomadic Studio Co. to charge the card used for your booking for these costs. Damage will be documented with photographs and sent to you with an itemized invoice at least 48 hours before any charge is processed. For damage exceeding $500 CAD, we will contact you directly to discuss before charging.
If We Need to Cancel
In rare cases (building issues, power failure, severe weather, or emergency), we may need to cancel or move your session. You'll be offered the next available date or a full refund, whichever you prefer. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking.
Your Work Stays Yours
You retain full ownership of all images, video, and content created during your session. Nomadic Studio Co. does not claim rights to your work. We may occasionally ask permission to share behind-the-scenes content or feature your work on our social media, always with credit and never without your consent.
Liability
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nomadic Studio Co., Nomadic Stories Media Inc., its owner, employees, and affiliates from any injury, death, property damage, or liability arising from the use of the studio. Nomadic Studio Co. is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal equipment or belongings brought to the studio.
